System manuals contain tables indicating available RLE system configurations, and identify their constituent parts (for use if ordering any of these components as spares items). If you know the system configuration you require, you can use the RLE part number generator to determine the overall system level part number which can then be used to request a quotation or place an order. The options you need to consider for a linear system are:
A choice of two laser sources is available, RLU10 and RLU20, the latter having improved frequency stability. Every system undergoes rigorous testing prior to shipment, however, system certification is not included as standard. NPL traceable calibration certificates are available as an added cost option and must be ordered at the same time as the system - they are not available retrospectively. System kits with retroreflector configured detector heads also include retroreflector target optics. For system kits containing plane mirror configured detector heads, Renishaw can, if requested, provide plane mirror target optics. The Accessories section contains information on mirrors, mirror mounts and other auxiliary equipment for use with RLE systems. In addition to retroreflector and plane mirror configured detector heads (including the differential interferometer (column reference) head), an RLD10 is available with no internal interferometer. This head allows an RLE system to be used with the linear, angular and straightness optics available from the calibration division. (This detector head is only available with a 0° beam output.)
