Automated part temperature measurement on a 5-axis CMM platform
The RTP1 temperature probe significantly improves the flexibility for part temperature measurement on a CMM. It can be automatically interchanged with any other REVO probe at any stage in a part or batch measuring sequence. This enables users to automatically record the temperature at which a part was measured or the variation in temperature during an inspection cycle. It would then be possible to pause inspection until the part is at an acceptable temperature.
The probe operates across a part temperature range of 5 °C to 55 °C, has inbuilt overtravel protection and can be positioned on most part features using the infinite positioning capability of the REVO head.

RCP TC-2 port
RTP1 temperature probe is fully compatible with the MRS2 change rack and is automatically interchangeable with all other probes available for the REVO system.
The thermally controlled RCP TC-2 port maintains the RTP1 probe stored at operating temperature and it is compatible with Renishaw's MRS and MRS2 rack systems.
